He was born in Columbus, Ohio, on December 26, 1982. Sadly, on Friday, February 24, 2023, he passed away and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

His family moved to Bozeman. After graduating from Bozeman High School, He pursued further education at Montana State University, where he successfully obtained a degree in History. Following his studies, he embarked on a journey to various parts of the world to teach English. Danny’s spiritual quest was at the forefront during his travels as he sought to understand Jesus Christ, His death, and his resurrection. Eventually, he returned to Bozeman and enrolled in Montana Bible College to receive training for ministry. After completing his studies, Danny found a sense of belonging and purpose as a college pastor at Grace Bible Church, which became a second home to him.
Danny’s Journey Towards a Deeper Connection with God
He had a passion for traveling and teaching. However, everything changed for him one day while he was in Australia. By the side of a road, he had a powerful realization that there was a God far greater than he had ever imagined. He recalled the words of forgiveness he had read in the Scriptures. From that moment on, Danny’s life took a different path. He left behind his carefree youth and embarked on a lifelong journey to know Jesus Christ, His death, and resurrection. This became the central focus of his days, as he sought to deepen his understanding and connection with his faith.
Career
He has dedicated his professional life to giving back to his neighborhood and spreading the gospel. At Crosslife at Grace, he first served as the youth pastor before rising to the position of senior pastor in 2010. The church has expanded under his leadership, making a bigger impact on the neighborhood. In addition to his work at the church, Danny co-founded a non-profit organization. This organization focuses on helping families in need by providing essential items like food, clothing, and housing assistance. His passion for social justice shines through his commitment to supporting those who are less fortunate.
Family
His family was his greatest treasure. He shared his life with his loving wife, Kate, and their four precious children: Lucy, Daniel, Joshua, and Zacharias. Together, they formed a close-knit unit filled with love, joy and a deep sense of togetherness.
How he spend the day with his children and wife
Danny set no boundaries in love for his wife, Kate. He valued every moment they shared and worked hard to improve as a partner. Their relationship was a legacy of the strength of love, encouragement, and unwavering devotion. They accepted difficulties and grew stronger, representing the beauty of a love that develops and enhances over time.
His presence was a constant source of joy within the walls of their house. He gave his fathering duties a great deal of commitment and joy. Each day when he arrived home, the house would come alive with anticipation. He was eager to interact with his kids, entering into their world of stories, games, and laughter. He connected with his young charges in countless ways, including reading stories, playing games, and singing songs.
His Devotion to Fostering Faith and Selflessness in His Children
The real objective was to build a solid foundation of faith and selflessness in them. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to fostering their love for the Lord and instilling the importance of putting others before oneself. He prayed heartily daily, asking God to change his children’s hearts to be deeply devoted to Him.
What was the reason behind his death?
He tragically passed away on February 24, 2023, at 40, from a cardiac event at a Bozeman fitness center. Critical coronary artery atherosclerosis was determined to be the cause of death, which was ruled to be a natural occurrence by the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office.
How did he meet his wife?
Teaching in Italy allowed Danny Johnson to meet Kate, the woman who would become his wife. During his time there, they happened to cross paths, and as their connection grew, it eventually resulted in a significant relationship and a lifelong partnership.
